Our Lady of Perpetual Help (Redemptorist) Parish will have its first blessing of the animals on Oct. 4 at 7 p.m. Four-legged pets need to be on a leash. Owners and animals will gather in front of the old convent chapel, 204 W. Linwood, for the blessing.

Guardian Angels Parish will have an Oct. 4 pet blessing at 11 a.m. Pet owners and animals are asked to gather on the front steps of the church, 1310 Westport Road, at 10:45 a.m. Plans for the short service include prayers and guitar music.
